MOTORISTS, BEWARE.
Motorist, beware! A large boulder lias been presented to us, which was taken from the road known as the Big Hill between Tinui and "Whakataki. Wo are told that this is a medium sample, from anio:;g many hundreds?, which ihave been placed ©n the road as road-metal; and over which the mail-coach is travelling daily. This road has been partially blocked for most of the winter, and there have been several mishaps to motorists upon it. It seems regrettable that, with the Christmas holidays approaching, and the known value of Castlepoint, as a seaside resort, such poor consideration for the travelling public should he manifested. If, however, it is the intention of the local body to close tho road to motor traffic, and thereby save the chance of further accidents along this road, the placing of such large boulders cannot but prove an unqualified .sweeXs. Wo hear that there is no wool-traffic along the road this season, and that the bridge known as the "Hangman's Bridge" is unsiound. . Wool-cairtfers,must (feel in an unhappy position.
