ON THE PARK OVAL. The spores meeting hold on the Master-ton Park Oval last evening, as a Christinas benefit to the patients ar. the Mastcrton Hospital, was a distinct success. Tlio Municipal Brass Bnrid was in attendance, and Tendered several musical items. A collection was taken, up, and the public generously responded. A sum of 31 r wag collected, and will be. forwarded to the right quarter.. The cycle events were well contested, and provid- , ed some very interesting finishes. -~ The results wore as follow: Half Mile Handicap: First Heat— T Treen (20vds) 1, V. Bockman (25 yds) 2 B. Crawley (scr) 3. Five started. Second Heair-H. Flaws (15 yds) 1. C. Can- (scr) 2, E. Franks (in 'yds) 3. Final—Flaws 1, Treen 2, Crawley 3. . , One Mile Handicap: A. borncki 1, J. Clarke 2. C. Carr 3. Eight started. One Mile Boys' Handicap: L. T)avvs (80yds) 1, F. Ackorman (scr) 2, J. Pathrick (100 yds) 3. Every satisfaction was given by tti» starter". Mr G. Challis.
