RUMOURED RETIREMENT. (Received December 17, 8 a.m.) LONDON, December 16. Several newspapers allege, that the Prime Minister (Mr Asquith) has informed his colleagues that he will retire at the end of the present Parliament if a scheme for voteg for women is adopted or becomes part of the party's policy at the next election. REPORT DENTED. (Received Last Night. 9.25 o'clock.) LONDON, December 17. Replying to a question in the House of Commons, Mr Asquith said ho was nofc r aware that there were any grounds for tho statement that he would resign if female franchise were granted.
