A CHRISTMAS DISPLAY
AT THE W.F.C.A. How to make Christmas happy is a problem which everyone is at present 'eager to solve. It is characteristic of the W.F.C.A. that they do nothing by halves, and certainly their prepnrations for this Christmas are on a scale of magnitude that i. K distinctly creditable. Always mindful of tho I interests of its customers, this modern emporium has made every provision for the innumerable demands ' which arise at the festive season:. The interior of the extensive establishment is now a hive of industry. There may bo seen displayed al? those delicacies which go to make : households! happy and contented at nhristmn.s-tide. Huntley and Palmer an ; l Jacohs' biscuits in fancv tins, shortbreads, mu.scatels, ."ufta.nas. raisins, muscades, etc.. Then there axe Peak Frean plum puddincrs of excellent manufacture. Pa sea 11's confections, bon bona, and cosaques and a hundred a"d one other «easonable dainties. Christmas would not l>e Christmas without a well-cured ham, and in this connection the W.F.C.A. have one of the finest stocks of the celebrated '"Morepork" brand that could be found in the province. Cheeses of every description—Stilton. Gorgonzola. Taylor'fi old _ port and other varieties—are prominently displayed. Chrystallied ' fruits of all kinds, including apricots, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, etc.. occupy a prominent position, whilst fruits of overv conceivable brand, and all the condiments which are in request atthe festive season, are displayed in a pleasing manner. A special stand has been arranged for the display of Foster Clarke's dainties, in all flavours, such as jetty crystalls, custard, Wane-mange, and lemonade powders. Frntella, another table dainty, with cream', fe aTer> -stocked in all flavours, whilst a special attraction is ' monk nnd glass"- trifles of different kinds. Pickniokers will learn with delight that the trouble of coffee and chocolate making has been solved by Isesflrc! whose tins of chocolate and milk and coffee and milk only require n little hot water to produce a delightful enp. The Sweet Department i, also overflowing with the most noted English, French and colonial confections, and the arrangement, of roods in this department. "W*™Sv Pleasing.
