MONTHLY MEETING. Tho monthly meeting of tho Masterton Trust Lands Trust was held Mast evening, there beinp; present—- ! Messrs R. Krahagen (chairman) C. "E. Daniel!, T. B. Micholl, D. Oaselberg, 0. N. C. Pragnell T. Wagg aintf ]W. H. Jackson. . Leave of absence was granted to Mr A. W. Hogg. The Town Clerk wrote, asking upon. what terms Messrs King and Son would agree to tho widening of Dixon street, which would, entail the removal of part of their property on the Trust section. A reply was received from Messrs King and Son, stating that they would be prepared to accept £555 in consideration for the removal of the buildings. It was decided that tho Trustee* negotiate with the Council in regard Ito the matter. I Mr H. C. Ewart wrote, thanging I the Trustees for scholarship grant.— j Received. Tho Masterton Fire Police wrote thanking the Trustees for grant of £5. —Received. Mr W. G. Beard asked permission to peruse the minute books and bal-ance-sheet in connection with a. Supreme Court action now pending.— The action of the chairman in granting tho application was endorsed. A lessee of a Trust property wrote, asking that an addition bo made to the house occupied by was decided to refer the application tothe Building Committee. An application for transfer of & Trust lease was referred to the Building Committee. An application from the Masterton Municipal Band was held over t pending information required by tho Trustees', being supplied by the band officials. The treasurer's report, showing a. debit balance of £7OB Is lid, -vra« read and adopted. It was decided, in connection with hoardings at the Town Hall, and tho question of removing iron on the wefttern side of the hall, that the matter be referred to tho Town HalT Committee, with power to act. Tt was decided that tenders he called for the right to advertise on hoardings erected on Trust properties. Tt was decided, on th' l '•ocomimendation of the Town Hall Committee, that the lease of tlio Town Hall to r r .T. B. Atkins, ns drawn up, with the exception of one slight alteration, be nnproved. The renert, of the Building, Town Hall and Finance Committees were rend, and adopted. Accounts n.-mountiiiff t" £l6B Is 2d wore passed for payment.
