DELAY'S DOUBLE LIFE

The Daily Mail states that the soliIcitor Delay, who recently committed [suicide at Newquay, after hearing of I the disappearance of Mrs Nowill, the [ wife of a Nottingham manufacturer, for whom he held a high admiration, ion returning to England from AmeI rica, where he had boon married in 1911, led a double life. He became acquainted with a. Mrs Young in 1910 and mi til «'he wrote that she was going away her husband was not aware of the co-respondent's existence. Yielding to his wife's wish Leonard Young agreed to commence divorce proceedings. Ho was only; aware that Arthur Daly was the co-respondent, and ho did not know Daly's occupation or address. Delay used different solicitors to transact his business in both names. Ho only onto saw a solicitor, whom ho employed in the divorco proceedings, and took humble lodgingft for receiving the court's citation. His family, friends of the family, and his solicitor, were not aware of tho divorce suit. After his marriage in New York Delay settled £IO,OOO on liis wife.
Delay met Mr and Mrs Nowill while travelling, about tho time Mrs Young M + . her husband.
