EVENING EVENTS

"With the approach of the Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Olub's annual sports meeting the different members of the CJub are availing themselves of every opportunity to get in tho host of condition. Last evening the Club arranged two events, namely, 300,vds flat handicap, -and 120 yards hurdles, both events attracting good fields. The racing was interesting, especially the final of the 300 yds, which resuited in a great finish, Vesty winning by'inches from Hood. , ' There was the usual large crowd of spectators, who appeared to thoroughly enjoy tho sport.
