NEW AMERICAN LAW
WIRELESS APPARATUS ENFORCED.
(Received Last Night, 9.20 o'clock.), WASHINGTON", December 9. The law which came into force on the 14th inst., compels all steamships outward bound from United 'States Ports, to be equipped with wireless instruments. Those carrying fifty passengers or over a distance of 200 miles are forced to carry two operators. Additional safeguards are provided in the event of a wreck. A thousand steamers are affected.
