ELECTIVE EXECUTIVE.
iTo tho Editor.)
Shy-In reference to the statement of your correspondent "Nuff Scd," about my not <?pea.king or voting on the Elective Executive Bill, I may state -that this was a private measure. T had been called to Masterton on urgent business, and had arranged with Mr Laurenson that if the Bill came on in my Absence I should pair in favour of the measure. The Bill came on unexpectedly, and, to my .surprise, T found that Mr Laurenson had ■not secured a pair for me. That ismy explanation of the whole business. So far as tho other matters mentioned by your corresjvondent are concerned, T shall bo pleased to deal with them on the public platform at some time during the recess. —T am, etc. G. R. SYKES. Ma.sterton, December <5, 1012.
