THE MYSTERIOUS JANSEN
AT THE TOWN HALL.
Quite a novelty in entertainments was presented at the Masterton Town Hall last evening, when Janseu, a brilliant illusionist and transformist, assisted by his own specially selected and refined company, commenced a two-nights' season. The hall was well filled, and the little band of entertainers kept the audience amused throughout the evening. Jane-en's cleverness in many mysterious and perplexing items caused quite a .sensation. He is unequalled as an exponent of pure sleight-of-hand, and the magical of Edna D'Herr, the foremost lady escape expert in the "Great Triple Mystery" and "The Death Chamber" composed the. most daring and sensational deception ever seen in Masterton. The company consists of Mrs Ada Montague, a delightful soubrette and dancing girl, Les. A. Bates, singing and talking comedian, James Murray, Frank Adams, John Moore, Paul Gordon and Edna Hen*, who assist in the carrying out of Jansen's clever illusions. The second performance will bo given this evening, a.nd we recommend the entertainment to all I lovers of what is clean and clever.
