THE RAINFALL.
UPPER PLAIN, Mr J. 0. Boddington reports as follows for the m*»th of November: Bain .toll on 17 days in November, ■the maximum fall in 24 hours being 1.99 inches, which was registered on the 27th; the-minimum fall vva s 1 point on, the 21 st, and tho total for the month was 4.73 inches, as compared with 2.92, 3.97, 1.83, 1.60, 1.83, 2.90, and 4.12 inches for 1904 190,5, 1900, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910 and 1911 respectively. Tho total for the past eleven months was 47.2 inches, as compared with. 43,17, 47.90 37.60, 53.12, 30.8.5, 35.19, 37.25 and 40.11 inches for the corresponding period in 19W, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910 and 1911 respectively. The .average for those oight yearn was 40.895 inches.
The month just ended was an exceptionally wet one in Pahratua. Bain fell on 14 days, tho total fall being 9.21 in, Tho maximum fall was 6.5 on tho 27th ult. For the month 0 f November of last year 6.82 in were recorded, and rain, during that month fell on 19 da vs. '
