MR HAROLD BEAUCHAMP.
Tlie re-appointment of Mr Harold Beauchamp to the directorate of the Bank of New Zealand will afford satisfaction to a. largo section of the community, The circumstances of his retirement from the directorate a few
months hack aro still fresh in the minds of the public. The ostensible reason given for the retirement was ill-health; but it was an open secret that the warning issued by Mr Beauohnmp concerning the finances of the Dominion had incurred the displeasure of the Liberal Ministry. The re-ap-pointment almost so soon after his retirement disposes -almost completely of the hypothesis of ill-Jliealth, and leaves the public to form its ovfrT conclusions concerning the events which transpired a few months ago.
