AN AMUSING EPISODE.
The climax to the meeting in the Mastertori Town Hall last evening was too funny for words. After his desperate appeal ob behalf of wkafc he
termed "reform," Mr Robinson moved his precious resolution demanding j tho resignation of his co-Trustees. ' Of 270 persona present at the meeting, about thirty persons could bo induced to hold up their hands in favour of the resolution, and almost a-s many against. The Mayor stated , that quite two-third* of those present I had not voted one way or another, but, so far as the show of hands went, ho declared -resolution, carried. The wholo business, of course, was an unutterable farce, and nobody—least of all tho Trustees —will take the slightest notice of the resolution.
