BLENHEIM RACES. tFrom Our Own Correspondent.} BLENHEIM, Last Night. The second day of the Marlborough Spring meeting was held in dull weather. There was a fair attendance.. The results were a« follow:
Maiden Hack Scurry, 6 furlongs— Ruapata, 8.5 (B. Deeley), 1; Borsil, 8.8. 2; Achilledes, 7.13, 3. Also ran —Shainmogle 7.11, Biddy 7.11, Mary 7.11, Royal Tina 7.11, Alofa 7,11. Volatua 7.11. Ruapara won all tfie.way, Borsil being his attendant. Tiino, Iniiii I7sec. The race was mailed by a sarious accident through Biddy apparently coiring mtpr contact with another home about two farlongs from the starting post. She stumbled and fell, crushing her r'der,
H. Mcintosh. The lad sustained concussion of the brain f a fractured collar bono, and abrasions on the face. 'I lio HifTe'ieJ, who was in an unconscious condition, wa-s attended by Drs W ilkcr ar.d Bennett, and was conveyed directly from the scene of the accident to the hospital.
Omaka Hack one mile—Rustic, 7 (McMillan), 1; Astonishment, 8 >l, 2; St; Bees, 8.0, 3. The only vtavtcrs. In the straight Rustic drew away, winning comfortably, by two lengths. Time, lmin 47sec. Riverlands Handicap, one niile — Beacon, 8.7 (W. Price), 1; Brown Trout, 8.8, 2; St. Felix, 7.1, 3. Also ran —Wild Bird 8.2 and Waipunui 7.0. Beacon won by three-quarters of a length, with a length dividing second and . third. ' Time., lmin 4-isec.
Dash Hack Handicap, -I furlongs— Paiithea, 7.7 (B. Olliver), 1; I/idino, 7.7, 2; Ruination, 7.7, 3. Also ran— Aratiatia 9, Merry Guy 8.7, li'dra 7.10, Excitement 7.5, Merry Gale 7.5, Royal Sleeves 7.5. Panthea put in a good run coming round the bend and won by a length. Time, 57 2-ssec, Telegraph Handicap, 6 furlongs— Longstep, 7.6 (D. McMillan), 1; Merchantman, 8.8 j 2; Bracken, 0.2, 3. Also ran —Wild 'Bird 8.5, Portland Lady 7.13, St. Bees 7.12. L-mgotop won by half a length. Time, .lmin 15$soc.
Welter, 6 furlongs—Ambersloiie, 8.8 (J. Tapp), 1; Ruapdra, 7.11 ; 2; Paunton, 9.3j 3. Also rah —Kina 10, Ladiho 7.11. Amberstone won comfortably by a length and a half. Time, lmin 17sec.
The totalisator handled £5147, making for the two days £lO,llß as against last year'n £10,009.

TIMARU, Last Night
The South Canterbury Jockey Club's Spring meeting was concluded to-day in the presence of a record attendance for the course. The fields were again large, and the sport was excellent. -The sum of £10,764 was passed through the totalisator, making a total of, £20,595 for the. meeting. as compared with £15,321 for the Spring meeting of last year. This is the first time the Club has reached £20,000. The results were as follow: Hurdles —Gold Pin 1, Aema 2, Whito Cockade 3. Time, 2min Msec. November Handicap—Carolus 1, Owhetoro 2, Glenfinnan 3.
