JAMAICA DEVASTATED.

NUMEROUS LIVES LOST.

VANCOUVER, November 20

From Kingston, Jamaica, it is reported that forty lives were lost during a, hurricane in the town of Savan-ua-k-Mar, A vessel arriving from Port Antonio reports that the town is practically destroyed. The Governor of Kingston has despatched a special train to the stricken district.

A detachment of artillerymen is affording aid. A hundred houses have been levelled. TIDAL WAVE. WIPES OUT TOWN. (Received Last Night, 10.50 o'clock.) KINGSTON (JAMAICA), Nov. 21. A tidal wave wiped out the town of Lucca, and swept a quarter of a mile inland, wrecking many houses. The roads and telegraphs are still interrupted.
