THE ANNUAL MEETING. The following cable message has just been received in, reference to the annual meeting of Messrs Balgety and Co., Ltd.: — "The annual meeting of the company took place to-day, and was in every way most satisfactory.
"We have declared a dividend of ■fs, per share, being at the rate of 8 per cent, per annum, and. making with tho interim dividend already declared and paid, 8 per cent', for the year ended ,30th June; dividend payable 27th"November" Authority is hereby given to pay same to- shareholders on tho Colonial Register on and after the date "Have written £60,000 off profits to credit reserves fund, which now stands at £500,000. "Have written £10,009 off profits to credit of staff benevolent fund.' "Have written £40,000 off freehold premises.
'.'Balance carried forward,. after making allowance far possible contingencies, £84,155. ' "Mr H, T. Doxat, chairman of the board of directors', and managing director at London, announced his resignation as from 30th June nest, owing; to advanced age. The announcement was received with deep regret, and expressions of great appreciation were made for the services rendered to the company during the past 28 years."
