PROTECTION SOUGHT.
The appeal of the "lied Feds"' for police protection against the arbitrationists is somewhat remarkable after tho villainous language that has been employed against the Government for sending police to Waihi to protect the free workers. Still, the Federationists; so long as they are law-abiding, aro as much entitled to protection as i)iiy other section of the community. The Prime Minister has given an as-
surance tliat the law will bo administered without discrimination, and hay advised tho Fedcrationists that tkoy need have no fear about returning to Waihi, so lons as they conducted themselves in an orderly -manner. Mr Massey is to bo commended upon tlio attitude lie Juts taken in this matter.
