Massey's visit jx> Auckland. All the Wafrii men have been specK ally warned to keep aloof from these meetings, and similar warnings have been issued to Federation members and sympathisers.

DISGRACEFUL SCENE. DEMONSTRATION BY FEDERAUONISTS.

AUCKLAND, Last Night,

A crowd, apparently Federationists and strikers, being disappointed at being robbed of the opportunity of giving a hostile reception to the Prime Minister, gave vent to their spleen by a frenzied chorus of "boohing," and for a while things looked decidedly ugly. Commissioner Oullen, however, took in the situation at a glance, and marshalling a force of police, 100 strong, succeeded in clearing the streets in a comparatively short time.
