SI'ITING OF PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE. SIR ROGER CASEMENT'S EVIDENCE. (Received November 14, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON", November 13. Giving evidene beforo the Honso of Commons Committee set up to inquire regarding tlm alleged atrocities in the Putumayo rubber region, Sir Roger Casement, British Consul at Para, stated that the Putumayo Company's directors had been cognisant of the state of affairs in Putnmayo. Ho declared that Senor A ran a (from whom the company purchased the business) visited the region to comeo 11 ciimes. Men had been sent out \virh rifles to catch ,Indians, and those Indians who fled were sliot down. The London office of the company had been aware of these crimina' methods.
