SUPREME COURT.
OHRISTCHUKCH SESSIONS. (By Telprvanh—¥v°ss Association.) GHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. At tho Supreme Court Henry Mather was sentenced to eighteen months imprisonnu{nt for assault. William Black, alias James, and Gilbert James Dunwoodie, charged with stealing money, a watch, a. purse, a railway ticket and a luggage check, were acquitted. Leonard Arthur Bo ran off was convicted of having stolen a gold watch, a gold muff chain, and a pair of spectacles, and sentence was deferred. The charge against Dr C. J. Russell was adjourned till the next criminal session, ag & witness for the Crown is absent from the Dominion.
