WATER IN CENTRAL OTAGO. \(By Telegraph—r;ess Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The Rev H. Mason, tho well-known water diviner, who last week, at tho instaiK'o of the Fields and Experimental Division of the Department of Agriculture, wont to the Division's experimental area at Morven Hills, Central Ota go, for the purpose of locating water, has returned, after successfully locating water at nine different points on 200 acres of the area. His success is of great importance, as on other portions of tho arid area in Central Otago water may be, similarly located, thus obviating extensive irrigation .schemes. The Rev Mason left last night for Wellington.
