MASTERTON PICTURE COMPANY Those who attended At the I own Hull last evening wviv well pleased with the programme. The eoinedydrama "Tho Twins" was well received. Their father, who lived in the country, died, and their clergyman wrote to a rich imrle in Now but ho would only take one of the girls, who won her uncle's love, but sho mourned lor her sister wh:> had been placed in an orphanage. -The latter ran mvav. and was smuggled into tho uncle's residence by the other twin. Tho uncle, who had pretended not to have grown fond of his little niece, went to her room one night, and found two heads resting on the pillow, and was surpiised that he had two children to make his life happy. "Tho Fatal Mirror," "Lulu's Doctor" and "Tho Light That Failed," were dramas of high order, the latter being a very touching story. "Pathe's Gazette" shows lis the world's news. ".Rapids of Tvivatch was a beautiful coloured iconic, while "Willi©, King of Hall Porters" kept .the audience in screams of hughter. To-morrow night the change of programme will be ono of the? finest ever shown in Masterton.

THOMPSON-PA PICTURES "VANPA" AND UOSTELLO. The current programme at the toresters' Hall has undoubtedly caught tho popular taste, as thore was another big attendance last evening. "Vanda" the star drama, is a charming and fascinating story, which ■was greatly appreciated/by the audience. Told in a masterful manner by tho celebrated Cines Company, this exclusivo picture should not be missed "The Gun-powder Plot" shows the notorious Dick Turpin in one of his many exploits. Much sensation is contained in tho story, tho production taking place on the actual ground where this king of highwaymen and robbers held sway so many years ago. "Ranch Girls on a Rampage," shows very amusing -complications. The Vitagraph Company gives a great representation of coster life in "The Old Kent Road," Maurice Costello taking the leading role. "The Would-Bo Shriner" is more than funny, while Lubin's "Leap Year Lottery Prize" is ono long smile. "Motoring Over Ben Nevis" and "Han Intia" are two scenics of much Interest, while "Potters on the Nile" combines a very- interesting scenic and industry. "Saved, by Telephone" is a thrilling story of an attempted robbery, and features the popular Alice Joyce and Carlylo Black well. The rest of the programme contains many good studies in drunas, comedies and scenics. The programme will be shown again to-night for the last time. To-morrow night Yitagraph's great feature drama. "The Lady of tho Lake," adapted from Sir Walter Scott's poem of the same name, will be presented. It is a particularly fine subject, a n d was taken on the exact spots mentioned by Scott in his poem. In addition there will be a complete change of programme.
