THE MOTOR BUS.

The letter published in our correspondence oolumns this morning in regard to the delivery of goods in the town and district induces us to ask whether the time has not arrived when k motor bus service should not be instituted. Hie clerk to the Hastings Borough Council, who is at present in Masterton, informs us that a company has been formed in the Hawke's Bay township to provide an up-to-date motor - service. We are the older township of the two. With our suburbs we Inavo the larger population. Our district is more closely - settled than that of Hawke's Bay. We have a more extensive telephono system. Everything is in our favour. - Will some enterprising citizen or citizens take the matter up and provide us with an urgent requirement? *
