The message in a bottle, purporting to have been signed by a member of the crew of the missing dredge Manchester, was received by the Marine Department tto-day. ft is written in violet ink-pencil ic a piece of foolscap, rough, cut to nctc-paper size. Tha message is being »ont to the Lyttelton Harbour Board to compare the signature with t-b-H of Lambert, which is in the "Board's possession.
