REDUCTION IN TARIFFS QUESTION. j THE TRUSTS. (Received November 8, 9 a.m.) LONDON, November 7. Mr F. D. Acland, Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the Foreign Office, speaking at a Liberal meeting at Taunton; said Dr Wilson's election as United States President was a victory for the party of reduction in tariffs. A message of God-speed might well go to the new President in his task to reduco tariffs and bring trusts into a proper position. Short of revolution, said Mr Acland, it was almost impossible to disestablish trusts; the only thing to do was to keep clear of them from the beginning.
