THIS PARLIAMENTARY SESSION.
The Parliamentary session that has just concluded has afforded, a reasonable amount of excitement to the general public, and proda'ifid au unreasonable amount of obstruction on the part of certain fantastic legislators. The Government has put through quito as much legislation as was expected from it -it the beginning of tho session. Soma, of tho measures passed are of a useful character —others may be classed as doubtful. Ou the whole good, useful work has been performed A great deal more might h-vve been through hod it not beeu for the verbosity of tho Isitts, the Russells and v .he Paynes. The attitude of Sir Joseph Ward was generous and considerate throughout, and he, with one or two others of his party, appeared genuinely anxious to facilitate the transaction .of the busi'i; '.s of the country.
