THE DEMOCRATS LEADING. REPUBLICAN VOTE SPLIT. (Received Last Night, 9 o'clock ) NEW YORK, November 6. The returns indicate an overwle.ln.iing victory for the Democrats. . The party has captured New York State vote by a majority exceeding 100,000 The splitting of the vote has cost the Republicans the election, as Mr Taft and Mr Roosevelt's votes combined, in most instances, exceeded that of the Democrats.
