Five hundred employees of the Water Board were dismissed, the Board, wkich expended £BO,OOO in the past four months, having been informed that only £75,000 would be available for the remaining - -eight months of the year. Possibly another five hundred dismissals will be necessary.. The 'employees at present total 2000.
