TWO SHOPS DESTROYED. (By Telegraph — Press Association.) GISBORNE, Last Nig,;*.. A firo broke out at 3.30 this morning, in shops in Main Street occupied by Joseph Ballintine, tailor, a-id Jon Lee, laundryman, both buildings being gutted. The Chinaman saved nearly everything, but Ballintitie's .stock was destroyed. The buildings were owned by Willis and Wallel. The insurance on Ballintme's -:!'" k amounts to £llo'in the New Zealaud Government Office, and on. iho building to £l5O in the same office.
