MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Mauricevilk County Council was held on Saturday, the 26th inst. Present • —Crs C. Churchill Jackson (cha:rIman), H. J. Dagg, .J. E. Perry and JL. P. If otherwise, the Minister's consent must' first bo obtained. ) The Wanganui County Council forj warded a resolution urging the Gov- ! erament to giye.the freehold to lessees of small > grazing runs; and asked the Council's co-operation.—Received. { Thof County clerk, Eketahuna, ' wrote requesting the collection' of a special rate due from occupiers of sec-, tion 171, block 13, Mangaone v S.D., the "thirds" which had hitherto met this special rate being now exhausted. The Mauriceville Dairy. Company asked permission to lay a pipe along the main road at the Hastwell creamery. : A plan of land for a metal pit at J.-Bryan's was received from Messrs Seaton. Sladden and Pavitt. Cr Judd forwarded notice of motion, to rescind the resolution authorising the purchase of small birds eggs and heads. —This'-motion 'was held over until next meeting.
