Tbe unfinished game between ;Kelli.:ig (.Wellington) and Jones (Masterton) ended in a win lor'the former after eight-.hours' play. , Jones made an unfortunate error in sacrificing a knight, giving his appooent an advantage which he did not fail to avail himself of, and as a result won the gamp. The local-men reversed Saturday's form and,, won woven and a half games to their, opponents one and a half, ' the match ending in favour of Wai-' rarapa by eleven- snd a half games ■to seven and a. half. ' " ' The visitors left for Wellington by the afternoon train.
