. . DAMAGE TO STOCK. Masterton was visited by a severe storm on Saturday, snow falling heavily in the outskirts of the town. The atmosphere was bitterly cold, a.nd the streets of the town were almost deserted. It is reported that considerable damage ha« been done to stock, a number of sheep which were recently shorn having succumbed to the cold. A pleasant change occurred yesterday, the day being comparatively mild.
