RECEIVES THREATENING LETTERS. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) October 26. A stranger attempted to enter Mr Theodore Roosevelt's .home at Oyster Bayj but was forcibly evicted. • Ookmel Roosevelt is receiving many threatening letters, as a result of which a special police guard lias been provided. ' ACCUSED OF INTEMPERANCE. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) NEW YORK, October 26. Mi* Theodore Roosevelt is suing George Newell, editor of a Michigan newspaper, claiming damages for alleged libel. Newell published an article accusing Mr Roosevelt of intemperance, and of using bad" language while' under the influence of liquor.
