Giving evidence before the Commission that is enquiring regarding the establishment of iron and! steel works at Newcastle, Mr Delprat, general manager of the Broken Hill Proprietary Company, stated that the company would spend over a million pounds on works in the first two or three years and employ four or five hundred men. The company was prepared to supp.y all the needs .of Australia.
