The intimation conveyed by cable morning that Greece has declared war with Turkey will create intense interest, and will cause people to shudder at the contemplation of a war in which half-a-dozen angered States will, be suing for vengeance upon a nation which haoutraged the ' feelings of all Christian peoples in f European Turkey. What the outcome j of this war will be, nobody can forej tell. The great Powers have been | striving by every possible means to ' avert hostilities; but diplomacy has ■ failed, -and' the Allies have resorted to arms" in order to establish their claims. The attitude of Austria and Russia will be closely watched, for upon them will rest the decision of whether there shall, cf shall not, be an European war unparalleled in the historv of the world. ■ .'
