One hundred girls escaped from tho burning building. They were panicstricken. There were distressing scenes in tho streets until it had been leamt that friends of anxious people wore safe. ' The Fire Brigade showed remarkable, promptitude in answering the call and getting to work, and their smartness prevented the fire spread-
