AMUSEMENTS.

MASTERTON PICTURE COMPANY THE JtttOXTIER CHILD. This evening the enterprising management of the Masterton Picture Company will submit a charmng programme of pictorial gems, comprising the greatest attractions in dramatic, scenic and comedy photoplays that, have yet been produced. The star attracton is the great American drama "The Frontier Child," a unique collection of stirring episodes in tne Wild West. This class of, picture is always attractive, as it gives an excellent representation of the hardship and dangers experienced by the early frontiersmen. A romantic love vein is cleverly entwined in the main story, a.nd lends additional charm to the drama. The star film is well supported by pictures that cannot faif to please, and include "An Innocent Theft," a cleverly conceived story which should appeal to all the juveniles, though the moral taught is appliable to people of mature age. The Pathe Company are seen to great advantage in a simerb coloured drama entitled "The Lock." • "Man's Lust for Gold" is a truly realistic A.B. Drama, introducing our friends- the cowboys in. all their semi-civilised charm. A rare scenic picture, which should be doubly interesting, during the present disturbed statee of the wirJd. is the "Spithead Revew of 1912." The programme is strengthened by such gems as Australian Gazette, a highly educational film in Herring Fshing, -screaming comedies, in The Ever Smiling Lady. An Orchestra] Idyll, and Saving the Situation, while Royan and its Environs, a, magnificent scenic concludes the programme, which, is the most attractive that has yet been presented in Masterton.
