CRICKET

NEW CLUB! FORCED. : A meeting of hookey players was held in the Dominion Hall last evening for the purpose of forming a Thursday cricket club. There was a very large attendance, and an enthusiastic meeting was held. It. was unanimously decided to form a club to he called the "Hockey Cricket Club." Over twenty members were proposed for election, and it is probable that two teams will be entered. A committee was formed with the object ,of furthering the Club's interests. Two delegates to the proposed Wairarapa Cricket Association were elected. A vote of thanks to the chairman (Mr.A. Pragnell) terminated a 'very' successful meeting.
