Ltd., report having hold their Eketahuha stock sale on Friday, 11th inst.:—We had a medium yarding of sheep and a very largo one of cattle and havo to report a total clearance at undermentioned prices : Black face f hoggets 14s 4d to los lOd, fat owes I 16s to 20s 3d, empty cows £2 5s to £3 ss, cows in calf (good) £8 7s Gd to £lO 12s 6d, cows and calves at foot £3 12s Gd to £4 ss, empty lieif- J ers £3 15s to £4 10s. springing heifers £5 to £8 ss, heifers with calve.? \ at foot £4 to £4 2s 6d, weaners 17s i to 30s, yearling heifers £2 17s Gd to J £3, 2-year steers £3 13s to £4 15s. ' Hereford hulls to 5£ gns, Jersey bull £6 13s, Shorthorn bull £4 5s fid. Messrs Dalgety and Go., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Eketnlnma. on Friday, 11th inst. No sheep came forward. LONDON WOOL SALES. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile. Agency Co.. Ltd., and Reduced, have received the following cablegram from their London office .-—"The sales closed strong; 136,000 bales of wool wers sold, of which 18,000 were taken for the Continent and 6000 for America : 7000 bales were held over. As compared with last sales closing rat.reprices are higher by about 5 per ce" + to 7-J- per cent, medium and inferior } and coarse scoured crossbred. And J iiigher by about 10 por cent for coarse ; greasy crossbred. We quote -av-erng" current London values of the Tindernoted descriptions of New Zealand greasy wool: Good merino medium merino 12<1, inferior merino 10d. fine crossbred 13£ d, medium crossbred ILkl, coarse crossbred (40's) 10-ld coarse crossbred (36's) lOd."
