COURT RETURNS

JU X E-SEPTEM BE R HETUBXS. During the quarter ended September 30th. there were thirty-three sittings of the Magistrate's Court in Mastcrton, and one sitting of the Supreme Court. During that, period the total amount sued for being £1724 10s 9d and the amount recovered £682 7s lid. One hundred and thir-ty-four summonses were issued, and fifteen Judgment summonses, on which five orders were made. In divorce, seven petitions were filed, answers being filed in two cases, and five decrees nisi were granted, and ono decree absolute. Fees paid in connection with civil cases amounted to £6O 9s, and in criminal cases £l3 16s.
