MASTERTON RACING CLUB
MEETING OF STEWARDS. The monthly meeting of stewards of the Mastertoii Racing Club was belt! on Saturday last, there being present Messrs C. F. Vallance (dhairmanV A. G. Pihner, G. H. Yates, J. Whittakor, P. Harrison, W. Cooper, 1). McLaclilan, Frank Dorset, Fred Dorset, A. .). Welch, 0. C. Cooper, C. J. Bennett, and J.'lrons. An apology for absence was received from Mr H. Douglas. The Minister of Internal Affairs forwarded a totalisator permit for tho coining meeting. It was decided to pay' the fees due to Mr West, architect, less travel'.iag expenses.. \ Mr James Walden wrote, accepting the position of racecourse detective for the coniing meeting. Eight new members were elected. The tender of Mr J. Dixon for the refreshment booth at tho races was accepted. Officers were appointed for varior.r* positions at the. spring meeting.
