YESTERDAY'S SHOOT. 'Hie Masterton Gun CHiib hold a £SO clay bird shoot on the old Showgrounds yesterday afternoflTn, twoiriyfive competitors, including many wellknown shots, taking part. The weather was most favourable, with the result that some excellent shooting was registered. The majority of the competitors had two nominations, aiid the actual winner was H. J. Nit;-, of the To Wharau Club, who put up a highly meritorious performance, by getting the possible of fifteen birds h' each nomination. I). Erased, a member of the same club, and a New Zenland champion, got all his birds i v one nomination and divided with Nit" tho hitter ,reooivin<>- two-thirds and thr formor one-third of the stake.
