MOKAU JONES.
The name of "Moknu" .lories bids fair to go down to posterity as that of a man who figured more prominently before the Parliament of New Zealand than any other individual who has possessed a grievance. For many years past the case of "JVlokau" Jones has boon before the public." Successive Parliaments and Governments have wrestled with it. Select Committees have reported upon it. Law Courts have annihilated it. And yet it bobs up serenely, and the time nd patience of the. country is wasted by it. The Hon. Mr Masseyproposes setting up a special Committee to go into the whole question, and seo if Mr Jones has a real grievance. But if this Ccmmitteo should report adversely, what thou? "Makavi" Jones will still haunt the precincts of Parliament ■■buildings, and petition for redress. And' so, t;ll nature itself solves the problem,
