FOOTBALL GROUNDS

Tn order to increase the attractiveness of football, from the point of view of tho spectators, the Canterbury Rugby Union and Sports' Protection League approached the Domain Board and asked permission to prepare eight playing grounds contiguous to North Hagloy Park, involving an expenditure of at least £75. Tho Board granted the request on certain conditions, and dec, Jed to vote £2O towards tho cost of the work.
