Ti;& Land Laws Amendment Bili was introduced by the Minister of

Lands (Hon W. F. Massey) this evening, read a first time, and referred to tho Lands Committee.

The principal clauses provide that in the event of a Crown tenant 'being unable at' any time, through apy n.t- ---•| tural, disastrous or sufficient cause, to pay the rent due, on the recommendation of the Land Board the Minister may postpone the payments el not- more than one year's rent, nut:! such time as he may determine.
