OPAKI RIFLE CLUB
THE ANNUAL MEETING. The Opnki Rifle Club's annua! meeting was Jiold in Mcissrs King and Henry's rooms on tlio 20th inst. Tlie secretary's report .showed the Club to bo in a. satisfactory financial position. There was a record attendance of members and everything points to tlio ensuing year being a very successful one. Several new members wero electfid, some of them quite new to the sport, and with a view to making the shooting as attractive as possible to tlio boginners, the Club intends making a special effort to secure a good list of trophies to shoot for. During last season the Club's team nnnoxed several important championships, and individually the Opaki men mot with a. good deal «f success. The following officers for tlio ensuing ye.ijy wore elected: —Patron, Mr A. W. Hogg; president, Mr H. G. Williams ; vicepresidents,' Messrs D. McGregm', W. G. Beard, J. M. Coradino, 11. J. T)ngg, H. Morrison, F. G. Mnunsell, 1).. McKenzio, G. 0. Summeroll. .T. O. Bidwell, Captain Braddell and,/G. It. Sykes, M.P. ; captain, Mr W. J. Welch; secretary and treasurer, Mr R. J. Smith. The date of the Cub's spoiling shoot has not yet been fixed.
