"BOOSTING A DISTRICT."
The Wanganui Chamber of Commerco is to be commanded for its enterprise in securing a week-end visit from a large party of Parliamentarians, and bringing under their immediate .locx*. the requirements of the district. Would it not be wise for tli3 Masterton Chamber of Commerce to follow this example? The cost would not be very material, as the settlers of the district would doubtless pvov'do all the motor-cars required. We <.r,u'd show thq Parliamentarians a good deal of our back-block country in a •. , oupie of days, and if wo could : nd ice the Minister of Public Works to accompany them, a genuine service in'ght be rendered the district. Wc> should not allow our legislators to imag.no that the Wairarapa is some < bsi'itre portion of the Dominion, a hvg ">va.v off the main lino of railway, and without equal potentialities to thc.se of other districts.
