lFrom Our Own Correspondent.} The local district school has a .roll number of 333. This is the highest record for the past twelve years. The average attendance for the month was 291, and the largest attendance was 31(5 on Monday last. The Belvedere Amateur Theatrical Society has arranged to stage the two act comic drama entitled "All that Glitters is not Gold." At a meeting of Totara Lodge. 0.A.0.D. tiie resignation of Bro A. Thomas, as 1.G., owing to departure from the district, was accepted, and Bro R. Smith was appointed t<i the vacancy. Bro X. Reid was appointed to the office of V.B. At the monthly meeting of the Carterton .School Committee, Mr J. G. Moore presiding, a credit balance of £29 l(ss 3d was reported in connection with the general account, and £1 19s 3d to the credit, of the technical fund. Mr A. C. Riggs was aonointed visitor for the ensuing month. The action of the chairman in substituting Friday for Monday as the extra day in the recent term holidays was approved. The Carterton Druids Lodge, has decided to enter four teams for the Friendly Societies' seven-a-side footbail tournament to be played here on Saturday. The annual horse parade under the auspice? of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society takes place here next Satnrdar.
