THE TRUST ELECTION.
In view Qi 'went developments, it is, perhaps, satisfactory to know that the Masterto'i Trust, Lands Tnist electors arc to ho afforded an opportunity of expressing themselves upon tiio attitude assumed of late by a minority of i the members of the Trust. ,1 f this expression •should put an end to the' fantastic displays of the last few months, and ensure that the business of the Trust will bo eon da .-tod with | something iiko decorum, the money | expended on the. election wiTI not be altogether thrown away. So far as can be nwertainod, Mr A. W. Hogg favours the policy adopted by the ma- ( . jority of the Trust, while Mr H. Evans is in sympathy with the policy enunciated by Mr H. C. Robinson. It would be well if candidates wore to make a definite pronouncement on this point, so that, the electors may be able to give a clear indication of their wishes.
