ACGIDKXT AT FLAXMILL. (By Teityraph—cress Association.) WELLINGTON Last Night. Judgment was delivered by Mr Justice Sim in the Arbitration Court to-day in a case in which John Dalzell claimed compensation from Craw Bros, for injuries at a flax-mill at Tokomaru belonging to the defendants. The plaintiff injured tho little finger of his right hand, and poisoning setting in, the finger had to be amputated Tho inflammation spread Irand was rendered permanently and wholly useless. The plaintiff was awarded compensation at tho vato of £1 4s per week for the eleven weeks he was in the Palmerston Hospital; and a lump sum for the total.loss_ of his right hand, calculated according to the rules laid down in the case Rough v. Prouse Lumber, Limited. Costs were allowed amounting to £l2 12s.
